About Us
Valor Ridge was founded by a disabled Veteran on the belief that every service member deserves dignity, stability, and hope—especially those who sacrificed for our nation and now face homelessness.
Our Story

The genesis of our organization was not a business decision, but a profound, personal response to a societal failure. We witnessed firsthand the systemic gaps that allow those who have served our country, or those who have lost everything through no fault of their own, to fall into the abyss of homelessness and destitution. The disdain of others, the turning away, the bureaucratic indifference—it was not just disheartening; it was a call to action.
As a disabled Veteran, seeing fellow service members struggle was unbearable. We started this work because we could not reconcile the immense sacrifice of a Veteran with the sight of them sleeping on the street. These are men and women who stood watch for our freedom, and now they need us to stand with them.
I gave the shoes off my feet to a fellow Veteran because he didn't have any for the winter season in northern California. I was tired of working in the corporate world not really helping anyone—I saw a need among my fellow Veterans and knew I had to act.
These moments crystallized our mission: when Veterans who served our nation face homelessness, they deserve more than bureaucracy and indifference—they deserve immediate, compassionate action from people who truly understand their sacrifice and are willing to do whatever it takes to restore dignity and hope.
Our founding principle is simple: Dignity is non-negotiable. We recognized that traditional aid often provides temporary fixes, but rarely addresses the complex, multi-faceted trauma of Veteran homelessness. Valor Ridge was born from the conviction that a holistic, compassionate, and highly effective model was necessary—one that provides immediate relief while simultaneously building a sustainable foundation for Veterans to reclaim their independence.
Valor Ridge brings together dedicated volunteers, community partners, and compassionate vendors to create a network of support that truly makes a difference. From providing essential items like clothing and toiletries to arranging transportation for VA medical appointments, from securing critical housing to connecting Veterans with resources—we are committed to walking alongside every Veteran we serve. We exist to restore hope and provide the resources necessary for Veterans to reclaim their futures.
